You have won a house in multiple offers and are now moving forward with the inspection. You know a used home won’t be “perfect” but you have a good idea of the home condition. Let’s say you find a significant issue during inspection that causes you concern. In 2016, the rules on how post inspection items get addressed changed. Prior to 2016, opening this dialogue could result in the seller pushing for a cancelation and perhaps signing a different PA.
